Obamacare Information Might Be Used By Law Enforcement

We’ve previously explained that many agencies of the U.S. government are spying on our most private, personal information.

For example, we noted that the Department of Health and Human Services will have access to vast quantities of sensitive federal data on Americans as part of Obamacare (here’s the underlying Government Accountability Office report).

Today, the Weekly Standard reports:

[The website of] Maryland’s Health Connection, the state’s Obamacare marketplace, [includes a privacy policy which contains the following:] “[W]e may share information provided in your application with the appropriate authorities for law enforcement and audit activities.”

The privacy policy also contains the following statement:

If you send us an e-mail, we use the information you send us to respond to your inquiry. E-mail correspondence may become a public record. As a public record, your correspondence could be disclosed to other parties upon their request in accordance with Maryland’s Public Information Act.
